As a child growing up in Taiwan, I would go to great lengths to avoid taking a bath – crying, screaming, or even pretending to be dead. It wasn’t because I enjoyed being dirty. It was because traditional soaps and shampoos would irritate my skin, causing redness and discomfort. Even the supposedly “better” brands would leave my skin burning or stinging. We tried everything from pharmaceutical products recommended by dermatologists to natural alternatives, but nothing seemed to work for my sensitive skin.

A Lifesaver from Grandma

One day, my grandma came home with Soapberries – small fruits that indigenous people used for cleansing before the invention of soap. These berries lathered up like magic without irritating my skin at all! Finally, I felt safe and comfortable in the shower, and I began to feel at ease in my own skin.

Sharing the Bounty of Nature

Discovering a miraculous and gentle soap fruit for sensitive skin was truly amazing, and I knew I had to share it with others. After college, my friend Brian and I decided to embark on a journey to bring this gift from nature to everyone. Despite facing challenges like nearly going bankrupt and appearing on national television, we are thrilled to welcome you to experience the gentle gifts of nature.

Our mission goes beyond caring for your skin; we also aim to take care of the people and the environment. That’s why we partner with local communities and eco-reserves in Taiwan to sustainably source Soapberries from indigenous trees for our products, which come in PCR packaging.
